KEY INFORMATION
District High Schools Country Week is open to schools that have the official classification of District High School, students enrolled at SIDE are also eligible. Other school participation will be considered on application. It is an annual event for country schools to participate in Badminton, Basketball [B, G & Mixed], Futsal, Hockey [Mixed], Netball [Girls], Touch Football and Volleyball [Mixed].Â

Date | Monday 18 September – Thursday 21 September 2023 Note: DHS Country Week competition days run from Monday to Thursday |
Eligibility | Participants must be full time students up to and including Year 10. The maximum age of any participating student is under 17 years as at 30th June in the year of competition. i.e. students must be born after 30 June 2006. |
Cost | Schools who compete in the carnival share the costs for this event. The figure payable is $55 per student, based on minimum team numbers i.e. 5 in a Basketball team and 6 in Volleyball. |

ACTIVE ACHIEVERS
The award procedure is as follows:
- Each school involved in DHS Country Week has the opportunity to nominate a maximum of two female and two male students.
- The nominated students should:
- portray positive images about health and well being,
- be actively involved in school and/or community activities,
- be attending District High Schools Country Week.

Active Achiever Awards Criteria
- Each student nominated will be individually congratulated and receive a certificate of recognition at the Opening Ceremony.
