BACKGROUND
Get into Rugby is Rugby Australia’s schools programme that helps connect students who participate in the programme at school with local rugby clubs helping to build their skills to play regular club rugby and engage with the Western Force team.
The Get into Rugby programme is part of the Australian government’s sporting schools programme where funding is provided to schools to allow students to try sports at no cost to the school.
The programs will run for three to five weeks and can be tailored to suit any age and skill level and will provide an opportunity for students to experience rugby in a safe and friendly environment under the supervision of our highly trained development staff. As well as rugby get into rugby promotes fair play inclusion teamwork and most of all FUN.
Rugby WA offers opportunities for both Primary and Secondary schools to participate in competitions and Gala days for both girls and boys.
The competition’s and gala days provide WA school students with an opportunity to participate in formats of rugby union suited to all levels of ability both contact and non-contact.  It is also designed to encourage schools to participate at the level they feel best suited for their students.
Rugby WA is passionate about providing continuous development for teaches and offer various courses and professional development opportunities.
