Country Week Assistance Program

Participation at Senior High School Country Week and District High School Country Week is expected to be strong this year, and a new government program will make travel and accommodation more affordable for families.

The WA Government has committed $8 million to fund a Country Week Assistance Program over the next four years. Schools within 300 km of Perth will have their costs reduced by $250 per student, and schools more than 300 km from Perth will have their costs reduced by $500 per student.

Schools do not need to apply for the Country Week Assistance Program – they will be automatically enrolled if eligible.

Each school will still initially cover travel and accommodation costs, however they will be reimbursed after the events and will then be responsible for distributing the funds as needed.

Although team nominations have closed for Senior High School Country Week, schools can nominate for District High School Country week up until 31 May 2025.
