All selected players including train-on players are required to attend a compulsory parent information / uniform fitting evening on Thursday 22nd May 2025, 5.15pm – 7.30pm at SSWA Office (Tuart College – 105 Banksia St., Tuart Hill WA 6060).

Please use the Hodgson Street carpark to access Tuart College. The Uniform fitting will take place prior to the meeting in Room A4. The meeting being held in Room A126.

The next scheduled training session will be at Shenton (Lemnos Field) from 6:30 – 7.50am, Saturday 24/05/2025.
For the training session please wear a black shirt and white/light socks and arrive 30 minutes before training time.

AFL 12’S GIRLS PHASE 4 TRIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Congratulations to the following students who have progressed through to Phase 4 of the 2025 AFL 12s Girls team trials. All students will be required for the final two-hour session on Saturday, May 17. Trial time and location will be emailed to families on Wednesday.

 

Congratulations also, to student official, Summer Loisel, who trialled as an umpire at the Phase 3 trials on Saturday. All student officials looking at officiating at the 12s championships in 2025, are continuing to trial at AFL player trials with great success.

WA Teachers’ Games – 2025 Update

School Sport WA regrets to advise that the WA Teachers’ Games will not be held in 2025.

With the Department of Education’s support from 2021 to 2024, School Sport WA was able to deliver an event that fostered camaraderie, wellbeing, and professional connection among school staff.

In the first and second years of operation, the Department provided staffing assistance for six months leading up to the Games and continued its support in subsequent years through staff connected with School Sport WA.
 
This operational assistance has now been withdrawn.
Unfortunately, the loss of support and decisions outside of School Sport WA’s control have impacted our ability to run the event in 2025.
 
We recognise this news may be disappointing for the more than 1,200 school staff who have participated over the past four years. While the Games will not go ahead in 2025, School Sport WA remains committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of educators.

We hope to explore new opportunities to continue this support in the years to come.
