The Australia Cup is a new competition run by SchoolSportWA that will link into the National competition that is planned to start in 2027.
This is a FA cup style knockout competition culminating in a final in term 2. It is only for Senior Boys and Girls and is completely separate to the Champions Schools competition. Please note that although it is a “Senior” competition year 12s are excluded from playing. Only players year 11 and under may play.
It will be an unseeded competition with teams randomly drawn against each other. Winners of each round will move into the next stage until two teams remain for a final.
Both finalists will then be invited to compete in the National Schools Competition in 2027 to represent WA. This will allow schools to plan and prepare to travel.
Although this is open to all schools it is recommended that only schools who are likely to travel for the National Schools Competition nominate.
