INTERSTATE 12s NETBALL
The School Sport Australia Interstate 12s Netball Championship is open to both boys and girls.
The final teams will consist of a balanced team of 12 players
Two Preliminary trials will be held followed by two main trials.
All players must attend one of the Preliminary Trials. Each trial shall consist of match play, however trials may also incorporate skill drills.

[Note: Home Education students will be charged an additional
$10 trial fee]
Tour Cost
Please be advised that if selected:
The total cost of the Championship is estimated at $1000 (this does not include any flights or accommodation), less fund raising.
[Note: Home Education students will be required to pay a $120 fee in addition to all other costs]
Travel Model
The School Sport WA preferred travel model is for students to travel and accommodate with their parent/guardian. Flights have been booked for team officials and their flight information will be provided at the parent information meeting.
Any variation to this model will be communicated at the initial trial

C – Invited to squad training if selected from Association Championships

Squad Training Schedule
14th June 2026 – Gold Netball Centre 8am to 10am
18th June 2026 – Gold Netball Centre 4:30pm to 6pm
21st June 2026 – Gold Netball Centre 8am to 10am
Note – Country athletes selected (200+km) will be
required at 18th and 21st June for selections.
Phase 3 – Final Selection
Final Trial – Thursday 25th June 2026 4:30-6pm
Athletes must be in attendance on this date to be
considered.
Team of 12 + Training Partners selected and announced
Friday June 26th
Team trainings to commence from 28th June on Thursdays
and Sundays.
ELIGIBILITY
SSA Championships are open to all West Australian students, whether or not they are members of an affiliated club. Students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a full time student
- Be 11* or 12 years as of the 31 December 2026
* Students who turn 11 in the year of competition and who are selected in the final team must be accompanied to the event by a parent or nominated guardian even if the student stays in the team accommodation.
All SSWA teams are selected on merit according to the published selection process for that team or sport.
Nominations open late January in the year of the competition.
