Please read all information prior to nominating for trials below
Registrations for the Football (Soccer) 12s WA State Schools team will open at the end of January.
Players eligible need to be 11 or 12 years of age in 2026.
Once the nomination form is completed and trial fee is paid there is no correspondence required to be sent from SSWA to families. Parents/caregivers are to take the player to the trial/s.

Trial Cost

The total cost of the Championship is estimated at $1000 (this does not include any flights or accommodation), less fund raising.
Travel Model
The School Sport WA preferred travel model is for students to travel and accommodate with their parent/guardian. Flights have been booked for team officials and their flight information will be provided at the parent information meeting.
Any variation to this model will be communicated at the initial trial
BOYS TRIALS 2026
Coaches will be attending Under 12 & Under 13 Club games when possible.
Players can attend as many Phase 1 trials as they wish.

Final cut will be made after the fourth and trial.
The list of players selected will be sent to the School
Sport WA website for Monday, 13th July.
The selection will consist of the preliminary 14 players and
up to 8 players who will train on in case of injury or illness to any of the
selected 14 players.
GIRLS TRIALS 2026
Players attend Trials closest to their school location.
For planning purposes, players are not able to attend both locations unless exceptional circumstances. This will also depend on the number of requests.
It is suggested that payers attend as many trials (in their selected region) as possible, however, consideration is given to any amount of trials attended.

Championships are open to all West Australian students, whether or not they are members of an affiliated club. Students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a full time student at a recognised educational institute
- Be 11 or 12 years as of 31 December in the year of competition
*Students must not turn 13 in the year of competition*
*Students who turn 11 in the year of competition and who are selected in the final team must be accompanied to the event by a parent or nominated guardian even if the student stays in the team accommodation.
All SSWA teams are selected on merit according to the published selection process for that team or sport.
