Interstate Trial Information


Trial Specifics
Nomination Due:	5pm Monday 6th June 2011
Cost:	$20 per person [Paid to SSWA Officials on the day]
TRIAL DATE	Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th June 2011 All players are to be at the State Tennis Centre at 8:30am for sign in. Matches will start at 9am. Please remember to bring your $20 entry fee and the signed nomination form by your school principal. The CAFE will be open! All players will be required to play Sunday from 12noon or as soon as your pennant match is completed.
Venue:	State Tennis Centre
Draw:	The draw will be available on Saturday morning of the competition and will consist of player pools.
Eligibility:	To be eligible for selection students must: Be a full time student Turn 12 yrs of age as at 31 December in the year of competition Have the permission of the school Principal to nominate for the trials.
Team Selection Process	All nominees will be required to play in the trial event. The format will be Round Robin with the team being selected from these trials. Selection Committee 3 School Sport Officials 1 Tennis West Nominee Team selection criteria Consideration of the following [in order of priority]: Performance in the WA Bruce Cup Trials (trials are compulsory for selection) Results from National AR events over the last 6 months Results from WA AR events over the last 6 months AR Ranking (taken from Tennis Australia’s current list at time of trial) Singles head to head results (over the last 6 months) in sanctioned TW, National events, or school events conducted by the school only. Doubles results (over the last 6 months), in TW, National events, or schools event conducted by the school only. The selection committee reserves the right to include players in extenuating circumstances who may not meet established selection criteria. Eligibility Must turn 12 years of age in calendar year of the event. Have the permission of the school Principal to nominate for the trials. Nomination Criteria for Trial Event Nominations must be approved by the candidate’s school Principal. Nominations must be received on the official School Sport WA nomination form at least seven days prior to the commencement date of the trial event. Final Team Selection will be announced at the completion via the SSWA website by Tuesday 14th June 2011.
