Champion Schools Competition

In 2011 Girls Hockey will conduct a one day carnival format and an after school home and away competition. Schools are required to select the form of competition in which they will compete. Schools may choose to play in both forms of competition.

During Terms 2 there will be a mixed Year 8 & 9 carnival. Teams can be boys only, girls only or mixed. For details please see the Boys Hockey website. The Open division winners from the one day carnival, the after school home and away competition, IGSSA, ACC Metro, ACC Country and Country Week will be invited to compete in a semi final day. The top two teams from this day will then play off in the Grand Final to determine the Champion School.

Fixtures to School:	Home and Away format - Friday 15th April 2011 One Day format - Tuesday 2nd August 2011
Date & Format of Competitions:	Home and away round robin - Monday 9th May 2011 One day round robin - Tuesday 9th August 2011 [9am - 2.30pm] Teams may enter both formats
Cost:	$175 per team for One Day Carnival round robin or $75 per team for Home & Away round robin. *Subject to change dependent on nomination numbers. SSWA will invoice schools.
Semi-finals	Thursday 1st September 2011 [9am - 2.30pm] [Winning schools from 1 Day carnivals, Home and away after schools competition, IGSSA, ACC metro, ACC Country and Country week schools] Schools invited into this stage of the competition who have not participated in the one day or home & away format will be charged a $115 entry fee.
Grand Final	Monday 12th September 2011 [11am - 1pm] - Top two semi-final schools
Venue:	Perth Hockey Stadium - Curtin University
Format of Competition:	Stage One: One Day Competition (3 finalists will come from these competitions) Stage Two: One Day Final 8 Teams Stage Three: Grand Final
