Champion Schools Competition

Schools are invited to compete in this growing Champion Schools competition. Please note that performances in this event are considered for State Team selection.  To nominate for the State Team please go to "Interstate Golf".

Format of Competition:

  • The draw will be forwarded to all nominating schools and placed on the SSWA website one week prior to competition.

  • Play will conform to the Royal and Ancient rules.

  • Interstate selection will be based on performance at various tournaments including this event.

  • Trophies presented for each year group. i.e. Yr 8 Boys, Yr 8 Girls, Yr 9 Boys etc.

  • Staff members will have the chance to play 9 holes and assist with supervision. Please indicate on the nomination form.
Dress:

Dress will be appropriate golf wear that complies with required golf club standards.  Shirts must have a collar and be tucked in. Board shorts will not be permitted.
Eligibility: The Championship is open to all West Australian students attending a recognised DET educational institution. Players do not have to be a  members of an affiliated club. Entrants must also satisfy the following criteria:

1) Be a student at a DET recognised educational institution

2) Be under the age of 20 as of the 31 December in the year of competition.

3) Have the permission of the school Principal to nominate for the event
