Champion Schools Competition

Open Championship:  

 

SSWA Primary Schools Football Championship will be conducted in the East, North, South and Peel regions.   No restriction on boys or girls in the team.
Girls 9-A-Side Championships:   This successful event continues to expand and involvement for new schools is encouraged for 2010.

'The Glory Cup'          

Friday 13 August 2010 

       Semi-Finals -  4.30pm

        Grand Final - 6.15pm

Venue: Fremantle United Soccer Club, Hilton Reserve, Hilton

Format:

A maximum of 10 schools divided into two groups will comprise a region.

Schools in each group will play a round robin competition.

School will play four games during the day.

 

Winners of each group will play off in the Grand Final to become Regional Champions.

All Regional Champions will play each other in the semi-finals with winners competing in the Grand Final to determine the Primary Schools State Football Champions.

 

The Girl’s Championships will follow the same format as the Open Primary Schools State Championships.

Fixtures to Schools:

 Girls 9-A-Side Regional Championships 2010: Week 7, Term 1

 Open Regional Championships 2010: End of Term 2 (School Holidays)

School Requirements:
  • Principals, parent and coaches information will be emailed at the end of Term 1.

  •  Full team details including player names, coach and manager to be emailed to Sport Coordinator at least 1 week prior to the event.

  • The maximum squad size for the Open Regional Championship is 18 and for girls 9-a-Side is 14.

  • All players must wear shin pads. Soccer boots are strongly recommended.

  • Each school to have a set of bibs in case of a colour clash.

The football committee invites interested teachers to become involved as a member of the organising committee or as regional coordinators.  Please contact the football Sport Coordinator.
