The 2010 All Schools Cross Country
will be held at UWA Sports Park
(McGillivray).
The
State Team selection trial event for 12 year old boys and girls will
be held as part of the Secondary Champion Schools Cross Country
event. For more information check the interstate
section of the website and nominate as an individual.

to the nominated email address on your nomination form. Competitor numbers will also
be displayed on race day. It is essential you get the
correct race numbers for your competitors as they are linked to
the computerised results program. |

$5 per person.
SSWA
will invoice schools. Individual entrants must pay on
the day. Late nominations may incur a
penalty fee. |

Entry Rules: |
Teams can consist of 3 to 10 competitors for each category. However, the first
3 team members to complete the race will be the recognised school team and
will be eligible to score points for their school. To qualify for the title of overall Champion
School, teams must be entered in all age categories, male and female. |
|
Age: |
The 2010 event will be
nomination by age group. |
|
Eligibility: |
The Championship is open to all Western Australian school students whether or not they are members of an affiliated club. |
|
Athletes
with Disabilities |
These athletes may compete
over the distances provided. To enter as an AWD
athlete please complete the Individual Nomination form
ensuring your classification and required distances are
listed. |
|
State
Team Trial: |
This event will also be
used as the SSWA State Team trial. State coaches/managers will be in
attendance at the event to monitor the age divisions and address
prospective team members. The 12yrs race is ONLY a selection trial
and winners will not be awarded prizes. |

SPECIAL NOTES
-
For
the safe & efficient running of this event all schools are required to provide
officials who must be present at
the 9.30am Officials’ briefing .
-
Water will be available from a number of taps.
Runners must provide their own drink containers.
-
Teams can check
their competitor numbers on the information posted near the recording area.
This should be done
as early as possible and schools need to bring black markers
for marking
runners.
-
Identify where the marshalling area is, well
before race
starts.
-
Schools are
responsible for cleaning up their own area before
departure. Additional bins will be provided.
-
All races will
start on time so students must be at the
marshalling area at least ten (10) minutes prior to
the commencement
of their race.

There is an age group team event, so
each sex/age group is eligible to win a
shield for their particular event.
It is
essential that each school provides one course official
who is not the team manager. |

How to
Nominate: |
Schools are able to nominate both
teams and individuals , however only
nominated teams are eligible to score points for the Champion School Award. See
directly below for steps and details under
"Nominating Schools".

Step ONE: |
Schools Nominate on the form titled "Schools Nom Form"
found at the top of the webpage.
Complete all details on the form - print
a copy and press SUBMIT at the bottom of the page. A copy must be
kept for your records or to present to your school Principal if
required. |

Step TWO: |
All
nominating schools must submit a name submission sheet whether they
are nominating an individual or a team of 30.
Click on the following link 'Team
Name Submission List' and you will view an Excel
spreadsheet. Save this document to your computer. Type
in your name lists in the required cells and save.

If you have changes or additions simply email the
School Sport WA office to inform them of any alterations.
Schools must
not make any competitor
number changes as this WILL affect the computerised results system. |
