District High Schools Country Week is available to all
District High Schools in Western Australia.
Participation is open to students who are under 16 years
and 6 months of age and in year 10 in the year of competition. The inaugural carnival was
held in 1999 with only 16 schools participating. District High School Country Week will celebrate the
year of competition this year.
With the success of the previous carnival it
is hoped that more
schools will make the decision to participate in 2013. Schools compete in Mixed
Hockey, Basketball, Mixed Soccer, Football, Mixed
Volleyball, Netball and Badminton. Also included are clinics
and exhibition matches in some of the sports.
