Background
The Belt Up Cup is a competition to specifically
cater for the needs of senior students. The Belt Up Cup is coordinated by the
West Australian Football Commission, School Sport WA and the Secondary School
Football Advisory Committee (SSFAC).
Target Ages
Years 11
and 12
Competition Format

There are five metropolitan
regions; North West, North East, South West, South East and Peel. Each
region has divisions to cater for differing sizes or strengths of schools.

The Belt Up Cup runs across 3
metropolitan divisions – Cable / Jakovich / Glendinning

The SSFAC reviews all nominations
and reserves the right to adjust divisions to achieve a balanced
competition.

The season is scheduled to
commence on Wednesday 30th April, with some regions starting the following
week depending on the size of regional competitions.

Country Schools will be coordinated by your Regional Development Officer.
BARRY CABLE:
This
division is for strong football schools seeking quality competition with games
played across regions.
GLEN JAKOVICH:
This
division caters for schools of medium strength, seeking quality ‘local’
competition. Finals are played across regions.
ROSS GLENDINNING:
For the
small, not so strong football schools (15- a- side). This division is suggested
for those entering the competition for the first time. No cross regional finals.
BILL WALKER:
This
division is only for schools who nominate for ‘A’ section at Country Week.
Length of Competition
The
competition is played during Term 2. Games will be 2 x 25 minute halves, played
after school on WEDNESDAYS.
