Champion Schools Carnivals

There is no difference to participating in any school based activity that is approved by the Principal that involves an in or out of school experience. Excursion rules and guidelines must be followed which includes parental approval for the activity to be participated in.

However, if an event has been centrally coordinated by a sport coordinator, for example a final or semi-final, then a risk management plan must be in place.

Interstate Events

SSWA has comprehensive insurance cover for interstate teams. We have a Personal Accident Sports Injury Insurance that covers players and officials during games and training for sports injury. The policy includes cover for death or disability and Non Medicare Medical Cover. SSWA also has a policy to provide Travel Insurance for interstate teams that provides cover for death, disablement, loss of deposit, baggage, money and personal liability.

In the event of an incident or accident then an Incident Report must be completed and the necessary insurance forms will be forwarded to the appropriate personnel. It is important that this is done promptly, as failure to delay informing the insurance company of an incident may result a the claim being rejected.
