Handbook |
This
handbook is a key point of reference on all policy
or procedural information with regard to interstate
management. All coaches and managers should make
themselves familiar with the contents of this
handbook. |

Action Plan Timeline
|
Once
your appointment has been confirmed, a meeting must
be scheduled to discuss your teams 'Action Plan
Timeline'.
It will provide you with the tools to effectively
manage your sport and to set a frame work for action
within the dictates of that sport.
At
this meeting you must also collect your deposit and
receipt books in preparation for your trials. |

Risk Management |
You
have already planned your trials and interested
athletes will start checking out details to nominate
early in the year.
Principals will be reluctant to sign their
nominations without adhering to current DET
excursion policies. Therefore it is essential to
complete a risk management document for all your
trials to be published on the SSWA website with all
nomination information. |

|
Financial Matters
|
This
section will provide you with everything you need
financially from managing your trial money to
finalising your budget. You will also be able to get
information about sponsorship for your team!
A preliminary
budget must be set prior to the initial parent
evening and authorised by the SSWA office. |
|
|
|
Squad Selection Letter |
Once
you have selected your 'Squad', it is the team
managers responsibility to distribute a letter
inviting all squad members and their parents to an
evening to discuss final team acceptance. |
|
Parent Evening
This is a key meeting
scheduled in your ''Action Plan Timeline". A
SSWA management member will be there to present
parents with policy and return documentation and to
filter any questions or concerns parents may have. |

Players Manual Information Bulletin

Member |
This bulletin is
distributed to squad members & their parents at the
evening to provide all policy and procedural
information pertinent to accepting a place in the
team. |
|
Interstate Returns
Provided by SSWA Mgmt Member |
This is the most
essential document for a squad member. It confirms
their place in the team. Squad members must
return this completed documentation with the
required deposit to the team manager, on the
specified date no more than 7 days after the parent
evening. |
|
Walkout
Uniforms
|
Kea
representative will be available to handle team
ordering. This section will provide you with
everything you need to know about ordering your
uniforms. |
|
Playing Uniforms |
Perm - a - Pleat representative that
will assist with playing uniforms. This section will
provide you with everything you need to know. |
|
Raffle
Provided by SSWA Mgmt Member |
Squad members will be
able to purchase raffle books at the parent evening
by cash only. Their details must be recorded on the
documentation provided and they must be advised on
return dates and fundraising legalities.
All books must be
returned to the team manager (unstapled) for
recording and forwarding to the SSWA office. |

Team
Submission List |
Once
your team has submitted their 'Interstate Returns'
this information must be submitted on the required
forms to the SSWA office to proceed with flight and
accommodation bookings. Failure to do so by the
designated date may result in flight cancellations
for the entire team. |
|

|
Bulletins |
Host
states will forward bulletins to the School Sport
Office with event details such as timelines and
costs. Office staff will then forward to the
appropriate team managers the information. To check out if the SSWA office has
received your sports bulletin please contact the
office. |

Bona Fides
Event Travel Arrangements |
School Sport Australia issue standard forms for all
events. They must be completed electronically and
emailed to your School Sport office who will check
and then forward to the host state. These forms, in
addition to the sport specific forms detailed in
your bulletin, MUST be completed and sent to the
SSWA office by the specified date. |

Insurance & Incidents
|
Whilst away any incidents must be reported to SSWA
and the appropriate forms completed and submitted at
your final meeting. Take a copy of these forms to
complete as and when an incident occurs. Check out

SSA Results
|
All
results are posted on the School Sport Australia
website. |
|
Post Championship Report |
This
report is to be submitted online within 2 weeks of
your return and prior to your final meeting with
SSWA. At your final meeting your report will be
discussed and any financial matters finalised. |
